I like cookies at least as well as the next
person, especially chocolate! A flash cookie unfortunately is
not one that can be baked in a flash and ready to eat, but rather
another way for web site publishers to keep track of your
activities.
Most web users are familiar with cookies, which
are used to remember information about you each time you visit a
particular web site. Cookies are easily controlled and deleted
using browser settings. A flash cookie on the other hand is
part of the Adobe Flash product, which is installed on an estimated
98% of all PCs. Browser cookie controls have no effect on
them, and they are not easy to remove.
As with regular cookies, many are legitimately
used to help make your experience with a particular web site more
personalized. Some however are hidden attempts to capture
information about you and your browsing habits. The scary part
about flash cookies is that you don't know they are there, and they
are not easy to control.
The easiest way to manage flash cookies is to
visit this
Abobe page and use the utility to review, and as
desired to delete your flash cookies. Be somewhat cautious
however, because some carry information about games or utilities you
might use often, and deleting them will cause your history to be
lost.
For more information on the pros and cons of
flash cookies, review this
article in wires.com.

Implements New Help Desk Tool
In an effort to make it easier for customers to
request assistance, we have implemented a new web-based help desk
system. This system will allow you to enter and track help
requests online. The system works with your email address, and
does not require registration.
Once you enter a request via this system, you can
access it periodically, and review the status of your request.
When you enter a new request, eNable personnel receive an email
message indicating that a new request has been entered.
While we welcome your phone calls, this system will
allow you to request assistance with non-critical issues 24 hours a
day. We still recommend that you call us directly for urgent
matters.
